The Santorini series is generated from the topography of the caldera, the collapsed volcanic crater that defines the island's silhouette. The algorithm reads the landscape's contours and resolves them into a three-dimensional form. At 70 cm, the S-1001 is the largest piece in the series and the most direct translation of that geography into physical space.
