The Alien series generates forms by removing the assumptions. Most design starts from somewhere familiar: a vessel, a figure, a known object. This series does the opposite. The algorithm is given only the most basic structural constraints and left to find forms without precedent.

What emerges is difficult to classify. The forms read as organic, with the irregular, asymmetric quality of grown things, but they do not resemble anything that grows. They occupy an uncanny space between the recognisable and the unknown.

A-0100 is a study in contrast. The black clay body, dense, matte and absorptive, carries a blue glaze that behaves differently in different light. In direct light it reads as vivid, almost electric. In shadow, it deepens and recedes. The combination gives the piece an internal variability: the same object appears different depending on where it is placed and how it is lit.

The piece stands at 44 cm, substantial enough to hold space in a room, compact enough to sit on a shelf or console. It is not a decorative object in any conventional sense. It is closer to a found thing: something that arrived from somewhere else and stayed.
